Ways To Minimize Your Visits To The Vet

Boston Terrier Grass I was reading another blog today called “In Dogged Pursuit” and the post was about ways to take care of your dog to avoid trips to the vet. I thought the article was a good reminder of things that all of us dog owners should remember to do.

  • Daily Exercise
  • Fresh Water (Remember to clean the bowls as you would for what you drink and eat out of)
  • Feed the best food you can afford
  • Give the dog attention everyday; brush, look at nails, observe bumps & skin irritations ( Bostons can be particularly sensitive to grass allergies)
  • Additionally I would add while giving attention pay particular attention to any fleas. Ask your vet about flea and tick prevention and heart worm preventative.
  • Observe your dog’s eating patterns for changes
  • Weekly check leashes, collars, fences, torn bedding and any other potential hazard.

Adorable Boston Terrier Needs Home

Boston Terrier Rescue

Came across this cute Boston needing a new home in Tennessee. She was rescued after being turned in to a local shelter. She looks like a really cute Boston and the adoption fee is only $275 it says in the article. This also looks like this website would be a good place to look for other Boston’s closer to where you live if Tennessee is too far away from you. Here is the link to the website.

Lost Souls: FOUND! Inspirational Stories of Adopted Boston Terriers

This is a great heartwarming book about Boston Terrier Rescue. A portion of the proceeds from the book is donated to Boston Terrier Rescue.  The book contains over 30 stories about people that have rescued Boston Terriers. One thing that I noticed on Amazon about this book was that it currently has 22 reviews and ALL of them are 5 star reviews! I’ve never seen a book receive that percentage of 5 star reviews. If you love Boston’s then this book definitely deserves a read!
